Day to day living in China

Goodbye England. Hello China

As lots of people keep asking… we are leaving on Thursday 21st August 2025 flying from Heathrow at 7.30 pm with B.A….so you may see us driving through town in a taxi loaded with massive suitcases. These are currently totally empty – but we have got a week left to decide what to take. A friend suggested that I just pack for 3 weeks and just keep ‘turning my wardrobe around’ which seems like a good idea. We also have to consider, however , that if we visit Beijing in November /December it will be very cold, if we visit South Vietnam in January it will be very hot and …as Carole King sang: ‘it might as well rain until September…’ it WILL rain and it is extremely hot and humid for at least another month.

Two each – one bigun / a cabin bag and a carry on!

Pack as light as you can: You can always buy things as you go along, and post them to yourself when you come back
